The Federal Reserve is Illegal

We are in the beginning stages of a major economic train wreck. If you really want to get at the root of why this problem exists watch one or both of the following videos. If we were doing what the framers of the constitution intended we would not be in this position.

If you don't mind being totally hosed...just move along...nothing to see here.

Proverbs 22:7
The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

Running

A new year is upon us. For those of you who resolved to get in better shape by running (as seen in above photo), here are some excellent resources to help you get started and stay motivated.

Both of the following sites will take some exploring to find what you need, but they both offer help for those of you who have been on the couch for a decade and those of you ready to tackle your next marathon.

The Whole Family

My mom took this photo a few minutes after Asa was born. I love the joy on all of the faces. Yes....it is a little biological...so sorry if that bothers you. Asa was only a few minutes old and his cord had not even been cut yet. Notice that little Millicent is the only one without a smile....this was the first time she had seen little Asa and her appropriate comment was "ooooeeeey". She liked him better after we cleaned him up.

At Your Request

After only 48 hours of life, we've had tons of requests for more photos of baby Asa. Here they are. For readers not interested in our family life....do not fear, New-Think has not turned into a family-only blog.....but it is not family-free either.

First Born Son

Here are some of the photos I promised. Enjoy.

Everyone in this shot was at the hospital waiting for Asa to be born. This was not everyone, though.
Here is Michelle doing her hard work. This was about as distressed as she ever looked. She's a pro at this.Ashlea holding baby brother for the first time.
Millicent, Asa, and Mom....with lame hospital machinery.

Baby Boy

The baby is here. His name is Asa Kayil Johnson. About 6.5 pounds and a little over 20 inches. Even though we were disappointed about having to go to the hospital Michelle was really low-key during labor and we were able to sneak the delivery in between the nurses and doctors checking on us. So even though we were in the hospital we got to do it alone and unassisted and have some time with the little fella before anybody knew he had arrived yet. Praise God for that and for a healthy mom and baby. I will post some photos later today or tomorrow and will probably write a complete birth story within the next month (hopefully I'll have time this week). Thanks to everyone for the prayers.

baby on the way

We are in the hospital right now. This was a disappointing turn of events after having planned another unassisted home birth. We couldn't do it without too much risk to Michelle this time, though. Anyway...say a prayer.
